According to the latest data from the Organization for Economic Cooperation and Development (OECD), Ethiopia received nearly four billion dollars in foreign aid for the fiscal year of 2009. OECD's report reveals the United States, EU institutions, IDA, France, and United Kingdom are the top five leading nations and institutions that have contributed the most aid to African states. Moreover, the report also shows Ethiopia, after Iraq and Afghanistan, has received the most aid globally.
